A Bit About Me

You may call me Mr. G. I teach Algebra 2, Precalculus, AP Calculus BC, and Physics. I hold a master’s degree in Physics and Mathematics and speak Spanish and Russian. I’ve been teaching mathematics for over 20 years and remain passionate about guiding students to discover their own potential.

I’m a proud father of three daughters, a grandfather to a wonderful granddaughter and grandson, and I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of two more grandkids. I’m also a U.S. Army veteran, but my greatest passion is teaching and helping students grow.

This year, I’m excited to lead our Math Team and inspire students to challenge themselves and reach new heights in problem-solving. Outside the classroom, I enjoy playing chess, solving chess puzzles, and spending time in the kitchen trying out new recipes for family and friends.

Our classroom is a place where respect and effort lead to success.

  • Respect Everyone: Treat yourself, your classmates, and your teacher with kindness and consideration.

  • Be Prepared: Come ready to think, ask questions, and challenge yourself every day.

  • Own Your Effort: I don’t give grades. You earn them through your choices and hard work.

  • Be On Time: Every minute of learning matters.

  • Stay Present: Phones and distractions should be put away so minds can stay focused.

In this class, every student has the ability to grow in math and gain the confidence to take on big challenges, both here and in life.
