Hello Cobras! My students call me, Mrs. Hayes. I earned my BA Advertising Arts in the Philippines, where I was born, and continued my studies to become a licensed educator at Elizabeth Seton School, where I taught Visual Art for 7 years. Recently, I completed Interactive Media Management at Centennial College in Toronto, Canada and eventually worked with a company that designed a learning-based app. I'm excited to share my experience and embark on an amazing journey at Kirkwood High School!

  • Come Prepared For Class - Make sure to bring a charged laptop and a charger; Do your best to be on time, and turn in any missing work from days you were absent. Check the weekly agenda provided on the board and in your Google Classroom.
  • Be Present & Engaged - Participate during whole/small group discussions, ask/answer questions, and remove any distractions.
  • Respect Everyone and Everything - BE KIND! Teachers and peers are to be respected at ALL times (in words and actions). Likewise, spaces and things require respect and care. Digital cameras and tablets are to be returned to the teacher for inspection. (You break it, you buy it). Maintain orderliness and cleanliness in the classroom.
  • Do Hard Things - Handle hard better and do the best you can. Discipline will take you places.
  • Work With Integrity - Turn in original work at ALL times (AI/internet-sourced submissions are not acceptable); Do your best work, especially when no one is looking.
  • Use Technology Responsibly - We will use devices appropriately for classroom instruction. Laptops can only be used when instructed.
  • Collaborate & Have Fun - Enjoy the process and celebrate small/big wins together.
  • Be Confident & Brave - Take risks, learn from mistakes, and grow more confident everyday!
